Position: Resident / Virtualization Engineer – Cloud (VMware NSX-T / VCF / NSX-V)
Location: Singapore
Duration: 12 Months renewable contract, Full Time
We are looking for an experienced VMware NSX-T Engineer to support large-scale software-defined networking (SDN) and data center transformation initiatives. This role involves designing, implementing, and operating secure, scalable VMware NSX environments while collaborating with cross-functional infrastructure and DevOps teams.
🔹 Role Overview
As a VMware NSX Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of network virtualization solutions using NSX-T / NSX-V and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), ensuring high availability, security, and operational efficiency across on-prem and hybrid cloud environments.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage VMware NSX-T / NSX-V environments
Implement micro-segmentation, DFW, edge services, and load balancing
Integrate NSX with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP)
Support data center migration and SDN transformation projects
Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, and security issues
Automate network operations using Ansible, Terraform, Python
Work closely with Network, Security, Infrastructure & DevOps teams
Monitor and optimize environments using vRNI, Traceflow, Wireshark
Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and conduct knowledge transfer
🔹 Required Skills & Experience
5+ years in networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies (VCF).
3+ years hands-on with VMware NSX-T / NSX-V
Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, MPLS, IPsec
Experience with GitHub, Ansible AWX, Jenkins, Terraform
Solid understanding of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi
Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills

VCP-NV / VCAP-NV
CCNP / CCIE (Enterprise or Security)
AWS / Azure Networking Certifications
