Job Title: Nutanix Engineer (Day 0 & Day 1 Operations)

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Nutanix Engineer with strong Day 0 (Design & Deployment) and Day 1 (Operations & Optimization) expertise to design, implement, and support enterprise-grade Nutanix infrastructure across production environments.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, with deep experience in Nutanix HCI, virtualization platforms, and enterprise data center operations, and has a proven track record of delivering highly available, scalable, and resilient infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Day 0 – Design & Deployment
- Design and deploy Nutanix clusters (AOS, AHV) aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Plan and execute infrastructure build, cluster expansion, and capacity planning.
- Implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity solutions.
- Lead VM migration projects from VMware ESXi to Nutanix AHV with minimal downtime.
- Define and implement best practices, architecture standards, and deployment frameworks.
Day 1 – Operations & Support
- Administer and optimize Nutanix environments, ensuring performance, stability, and scalability.
- Monitor infrastructure health and proactively resolve issues.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and performance tuning.
- Manage lifecycle operations including upgrades, patching, and system maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing infrastructure and project delivery.
General Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure / Systems Engineering / Virtualization / Data Center Operations.
- Proven experience supporting enterprise virtualization and HCI environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills in enterprise environments.
Mandatory Skills
- Hands-on experience with Nutanix infrastructure (cluster deployment, expansion, lifecycle management, optimization).
- Strong expertise in virtualization technologies:
- VMware ESXi
- Nutanix AHV
- Experience in VM migration (VMware → Nutanix).
- Solid experience in:
- Disaster Recovery (DR) & Business Continuity
- Backup & High Availability solutions
- Relevant certifications such as:
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
- Nutanix Certified Expert (NCX) (preferred)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with automation & scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
- Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
- Familiarity with:
- Enterprise storage & networking
- Backup solutions
- Monitoring tools
- Hybrid / Cloud integration environments
